Due to continued inclement weather, pending heavy storms, flooding and debris, Memphis Thunder Racing has made the decision this morning to CANCEL the 2010 Cycle for Safety event today. We sincerely appologize to all those who planned on participating and volunteering, but it is in the best interest of everyone. Those that have pre-registered can expect an email with full details. Thank you for your understanding and we hope to see everyone again next year!

Event Description: |
This is an event for the whole family and our intention is to educate cyclists and the general public on bike safety rules and laws affecting motorists and cyclists. Remembering Cory Horton, one of the founding members of our team, is another goal of this event. This year we will have a shorter 34 mile ride, in addition to the 52 mile ride to Cory's memorial site. Also, a Fun Ride will be held on the campus of St. George's and will be a closed course. Hamburgers and hot dogs with all the fixins will also be served at 12:30pm, with free give away prizes. Cool max tee shirts will be given to first 150 registered. Event packets can be picked up event day only. Everyone must sign waiver.

Schedule of Events: |
•10:00 am - Start of 34 and 52 mile rides from St. George’s.
•12:30 pm - 5 mile Fun Ride Starts. This ride is for ALL ages and abilities. The ride will be on a closed course this year.
•12:30 pm - Food Service begins with giveaways to follow. Hamburgers and hot dogs with all the fixings will be served to all registered participants.

$25 for the 32 and 54 mile rides. (Includes cool max shirt.)
$12 for the Fun Ride. (Includes cool max shirt.)
*Registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to "Acts of God".
